Usage Guide

Basic Navigation

Opening Images

  • File Menu: Click File > Open to select individual images
  • Folder View: Click File > Open Folder to browse an entire directory -- Drag & Drop: Drag files directly onto the application window -- Browser integration: If a browser extension exists for Gomoku, install it from the browser store to enable web integrations

Finder Sync Extension

Quick Image Processing from Finder

The Finder Sync Extension example below was written for an image tool; for Gomoku adapt it to the project's quick actions. Example placeholder:

  1. Select one or more items in Finder
  2. Click the Gomoku toolbar button
  3. Choose a quick action from the menu
  4. Gomoku (or the associated tool) will open and process the selected items

Supported Formats

The extension works with: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP, SVG, TIFF, and ICO files.

Thumbnail View

The main interface shows thumbnails of your images:

  • Click: Select an image
  • Double-click: Open in full view
  • Right-click: Access context menu with options

Full View Mode

When viewing an image in full screen:

  • Zoom: Use mouse wheel or zoom controls
  • Pan: Click and drag to move around zoomed images
  • Navigation: Use arrow keys or on-screen buttons to go to next/previous image

Screenshot Feature

Taking Screenshots

  1. Click the screenshot button in the toolbar or use keyboard shortcut
  2. Select the area you want to capture
  3. The screenshot will open in Gomoku for editing

Screen Recording Permission

For screenshot or recording functionality on macOS, the related application needs Screen Recording permission:

  1. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording
  2. Check the box next to the application
  3. Restart the application if necessary

AI Image Editor

AI Editor Overview

Gomoku may provide analysis or AI-assisted features. Replace this section with project-specific details such as move suggestions, board analysis, or AI opponents.

Inpainting Tool

Transparent Overlay Mode

Perfect for designers and artists (placeholder):

  1. Open a board or resource in Gomoku
  2. Enable overlay or reference mode if available
  3. Adjust settings as needed

Installation

  1. If a browser extension exists for Gomoku, document installation here and remove this placeholder.

Usage

  1. Visit any website where the extension applies
  2. Click the extension icon
  3. Use the provided features to interact with web content
